Christmas Card Project – Due Wednesday! December 18, 2006

This project is worth 25 points. We will be going over the document setup in class.
Here are the dirrections:

  1. Create 2 cards that will both have a center fold.
  2. The measurment of your PS document for both cards are 7in wide by 4 in high.
  3. Use a resolution of 300dpi
  4. Place guides at 1/4 inch from the sides of your card.
  5. Place a guide at the center of your document and then 1/4 of an inch from the center on both sides
  6. Save your document in a new folder
  7. Create your cards in PS and then save your cards as jpeg and place them onto an Illustrator page.
  8. Print both cards on the same page.
  9. Place thin grey lines 1/4 of an inch on all 4 sides of your card in Illustrator. These will serve as your printing guides.
  10. Print to the B&W printer on Tuesday (10 Points), and then to the color pinter on Wednesday (15 points)
  11. Use the trimmer to cut your cards down to size, and to remove the white space arround your card.
  12. Place your best card in the basket for a grade.
  13. Have a Great Christmas Break
